Tutorial 001
At the request of [info]kabutar I've created my first tutorial. Please let me know if there's anything I haven't explained properly as I'm sure it will need amending. I hope someone finds it useful.

We'll be going from this -----> to this -----> using PSP8.

****

1. I started off with the above cap, cropping and resizing to 100x100.

2. Duplicate the image, setting the top layer to Screen. Merge both layers and Adjust> Sharpness> Sharpen.

3. Duplicate the image again, set the top layer to Soft Light and merge both layers.

4. Using a combination of the smudge (opacity 40) and soften (opacity 100) tools, manipulate the background being careful not to touch the sides of the subject.

5. Duplicate the layer twice, setting the top layer to Soft Light. On the middle layer go to Adjust> Hue/Saturation/Lightness and set all three to the lowest possible setting.

6. Apply the following brush* by [info]teh_indy on a new Soft Light layer and mirror - Colour #FFFFFF. Opacity 100%.

7. Erase the brush were it overlaps the subjects and using the smudge and push tools manipulate the brush layer.

8. Apply the following brush* by [info]teh_indy on a new Burn layer - Colour #5182A1. Opacity 100%. Use the eraser and soften tool to manipulate the brush layer.

9. On a new layer use the Selection tool, with the selection type set to circle, to create a circle and colour fill white (#FFFFFF).

10. On a new Multiply layer use the text tool to create a row of 6 greater than symbols - Font Gino School Script**. Size 10. Colour #1E3755. Opacity 100%.

11. The 'R2 and 3PO' text is again on a new layer, this time set to normal - Font MS Gothic***. Colour #1E3755. Size 8. Opacity 80%.

12. The small text is on another new Normal layer - Font Courier New. Colour #1E3755. Size 1. Opacity 100%.

And voila, done.
